BE CAREFUL THERE'S A BABY IN THE HOUSE This CD released by Aural Tradition (Vancouver, BC) in 1991 has a marvelous painting on the cover by Joy Zemel Long. You see a little girl, maybe nine or ten balancing herself on a slack-wire with an umbrella and her mother with her back turned and her face covered with her hands. She is saying "There are things I do not wish to know... there are things I cannot bear to see." They both remind me of myself. I have tried to address that discomfort as honestly as I can.

BORDERLINE HEART This is the most satisfying recording I've made. The musicians are superb, I loved the studio and the engineer, and my long time friend Mitch Greenhill not only produced it, but played as well.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO LOVE? Released by Green Linnet Records in 1994. This album started out to be a children's album, but in making it I came to think of it as a conversation between an old woman... me, and a child... me.

TRAVELIN' LADY RIDES AGAIN One of my favorite things about the CDs I've made is the wonderful musicians I've been lucky enough to work with. Two of my favorite music albums are among those I'm offering. First, TRAVELING LADY RIDES AGAIN, released by Philo Records in 1976. I can't remember having more fun. I love all the songs and the music still hangs together.

MISCELLANEOUS ABSTRACT RECORD NO. 1 This is simply a collection of songs I love to sing. I was in a place where I was very happy... didn't last long, not even through the recording process... and just felt good to sing them all. As usual, I was blessed by good friends to play with and Roma Baran to help me find my way.
